Datuk Azizulhasni Awang, a renowned national track cyclist from Malaysia, has set his sights on dominating the men’s keirin event at the Paris Olympics after facing disappointment in the sprint event. Despite not qualifying for the quarter-finals in the sprint event, Azizulhasni showcased an impressive performance and even set a new national record during the qualifying round.
Known as the ‘Pocket Rocketman’ due to his small stature and impressive cycling skills, Azizulhasni remains optimistic about his chances in the keirin event. In addition to Azizulhasni, another national rider, Muhammad Shah Firdaus Sahrom, also faced challenges in the sprint event but will be competing in the keirin event alongside Azizulhasni.
