Christmas is coming to Wembley Park next week with the arrival of a 15-foot high tree in Market Square on December 4th. Along with the beautiful lights of the shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues, there will be plenty of festive activities to enjoy.

Winter in Wembley Park will feature concerts, choirs, children’s activities, illuminated art installations, and markets throughout the area. On December 7th, there will be a free festive concert featuring a variety of music ranging from steel pan bands to hurdy-gurdy music and dhol drummers.

The celebrations will kick off with a free open-air concert on December 7th at the Sound Shell on Olympic Way. The concert, titled “A Global Christmas: A Thousand Years of Festive Music Through Cultures,” aims to share the universal spirit of Christmas through music. Various music styles from different cultures will be showcased, including Caribbean steel pans, Motown classics, and Victorian Christmas traditions.

Starting on December 7th, Wembley Park will also host a Festive Market with 100 stalls selling artisan and festive products over three weekends in December. Visitors can shop for unique gifts, international flavors, and seasonal treats, such as Italian Panettone, South American Alpaca crafts, and Caribbean street food.

Additionally, there will be a free outdoor exhibition in Arena Square called “From Saint to Santa,” which explores the history and evolution of Santa Claus across different cultures and traditions.

For young ones, there will be a festive celebration on December 7th at the Fresh Arts community hub, featuring arts and craft activities, games, and a disco. The event is aimed at ages 4 to 11-year-olds and early booking is recommended.

As part of Wembley Park’s public art trail, a new audio-visual 3D art installation called Trialogue will be on display. This installation breathes new life into three Grade II-listed red telephone boxes in Arena Square.

For those looking for a festive throwback, there will be an event called “Best Served Cold: The Festive Throwback” at BOXPARK Wembley on December 14th, featuring music acts such as LEMAR and Blazin’ Squad.

Overall, Winter in Wembley Park promises to be a magical time with something for everyone to enjoy. Whether it’s free concerts, children’s celebrations, art installations, or seasonal treats at the festive markets, there will be plenty of opportunities to create cherished memories at Wembley Park this season.
