London Underground Stations and Lines Closed This Weekend – Updated List

As the weekend approaches, it’s essential to be aware of the planned closures on the London Underground, Overground, and Elizabeth Line. Transport for London (TfL) regularly conducts essential maintenance work during weekends, leading to station closures or partial closures. This weekend is no exception, with several disruptions scheduled to take place from Friday to Sunday. To help you navigate these closures and plan your journey accordingly, we have compiled an updated list of the affected services.

Friday, August 30

On Friday, August 30, the London Overground will experience closures from Tuesday, August 27, to Friday, August 30, until 6:15 am. During this time, there will be no southbound service from Willesden Junction to Shepherds Bush. Additionally, the Waterloo & City line will only operate between 6 am and 12:30 am on weekdays, with no service on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.

Saturday, August 31

The disruptions continue on Saturday, August 31, with the London Overground facing closures between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction on both Saturday and Sunday. A replacement bus service, M, will operate between Canada Water and Clapham Junction via various stops. From Saturday evening until Sunday noon, there will be no service between Clapham Junction and Willesden Junction.

Furthermore, the Piccadilly line will see closures between Wood Green and Cockfosters from August 17 until September 1. Similarly, there will be no service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge during this period, with passengers advised to use Metropolitan line services as an alternative.

Sunday, September 1

On Sunday, September 1, the Elizabeth Line will experience closures between Paddington and Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 from 12:40 am to 7:00 am. While the inter-terminal shuttle service will still operate, passengers should plan their journey accordingly. The London Overground will also see closures between Sydenham and Crystal Palace from 2:45 pm onwards, with connecting local buses available between Anerley and Crystal Palace.

Additionally, there will be no service between Hackney Downs and Chingford on Sunday, September 1. As with the previous days, the Piccadilly line will continue to experience closures between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge until September 1, with the Metropolitan line services serving as an alternative.

It is important to note that the Waterloo & City line operates between 6 am and 12:30 am on weekdays only, with no service on weekends or public holidays.

With these closures and disruptions in mind, it is advisable to plan your journey in advance and consider alternative routes to reach your destination efficiently.
