burglars-fail-at-mexican-restaurant-break-n-without-masks

So, like, four dudes, right, tried to break into this Mexican restaurant, La Chingada, on Eversholt Street. The whole thing went down at like 5:32 am on Good Friday. You know, April 18th. These kids, or whatever, were using some tool to try and bust open the door. But get this, a neighbor from the hotel next door heard the noise and scared them off. How crazy is that?

The owner, Walter Opitz, was all like, “Yeah, these kids messed up my door real bad. They didn’t even bother wearing masks, so we got their faces on camera and everything.” Like, seriously, how dumb can you be? Nothing got stolen, but it cost him 700 quid to fix the door.

Walter was going on about how there’s nothing worth taking in the restaurant anyway. Like, what were they gonna do, steal the fridge? And who even carries cash these days? They ain’t finding much to swipe. Maybe a few bottles of booze, but like, how much can they really carry?

After posting the CCTV footage on social media, turns out a bunch of other restaurants said the same group tried to hit them up too. The video got, like, 40,000 likes or something. To thank everyone for sharing it, the restaurant was giving out free beers to those who could prove they spread the word.

Walter ain’t too worried about these kids coming back, thanks to all the attention. He said, “We just wanted to show how tough it is for small businesses out here.”

The cops are looking into the whole break-in situation, but no arrests yet. If anyone knows anything, they’re supposed to call 101 or email ‘X’@METCC, and mention CAD6518/18Apr.

It’s crazy how these kids thought they could just waltz in and take whatever they wanted. Not really sure why this matters, but maybe it’s just me, but it’s messed up how they targeted multiple places. Like, what’s the point, right? Just causing trouble for no reason.

But hey, at least the restaurant got some free publicity out of it. And who doesn’t love a free beer? So, maybe it’s not all bad. Just a bunch of kids trying to be all tough and failing miserably.
