A Premier Inn-style hotel may soon be opening above a McDonald’s in Kentish Town Road. Plans have been submitted to Camden Council between September 30 and October 6 to convert two office buildings for this development.
The council is currently reviewing all the applications and has not made a decision yet. In addition to this hotel project, there are several other plans in the works in different areas such as Belsize Park, Cricklewood, Gospel Oak, and Highgate. These include building extensions, demolishing existing structures, and repurposing office spaces for various uses.
One interesting proposal is the conversion of office space on the upper floors of two adjacent buildings into a 74-bedroom hotel above the McDonald’s in Kentish Town Road. The retail space on the lower floors will be maintained under this plan.
Furthermore, there are applications to alter a listed house in Primrose Hill with a single-storey extension into its courtyard. To stay updated on these projects or to provide feedback, you can visit the Camden Council’s website and search for planning applications.
